My Senior Thesis
During the course of my last semester at Auburn University, I have been developing a construction thesis that utilizes many aspects of what is done on a daily basis in the industry today. Parts of the package include, but are not limited to: Company Information, Financial Overview, Project Estimate, Safety Plan, LEED Assessment, General Project Documents, ect. For an in more in depth look at this project, please visit the sub-tabs beneath this one (My Thesis).

Creating my own company gave true value to my senior thesis. As Hinz Construction Company, I explained how I managed a long history in the construction industry, shared my company's philosophy and goals, and analyzed my organization from key personnel all the way to what our plans are for the future.

The project I chose to use for my senior thesis is the Quail Ridge Business Center in Boynton Beach, FL. It is a 11,000+ square foot office building built in 2007 and designed by the architects of Bridges, Marsh, & Associates, Inc. This project was great to work with being that it is located in my hometown and gave good perspective to some commercial construction of that area.

I chose to do my Thesis on the Quail Ridge Business Center because of my familiarity with the community in which it is built in. For almost a decade, I have worked and been apart of the Quail Ridge Country Club. To have a personal understanding of the lives this project effects helps me to ensure that my work reflects how successful I would envision myself building it.

I obtained the design and construction documents foir the Quail Ridge Business Center from a friend and construction connection back home in South Florida. I had received construction drawings (architecture, civil, structural, mep) and specifications for this project in PDF format, and managed to extract all the necessary information needed for my thesis through those documents.
